What is Snow Like?

From Yahoo Answers:

Question: I have lived in Texas my whole life and am going to Massachusetts for Thanksgiving. It is snowing there. What does snow feel like? Is it really cold! I am so excited. If you could just tell me some tips about snow.

Best Answers:

** It’s like ice that melts instantly in your hands.  It’s not cold at first, but bundle up.

** I’ve lived in Texas my whole life too and I first saw snow a few years ago…it’s cold and wet! Like, in the movies they make it look all soft and fluffy and like soft powder…but no! It’s not like that at all! Think of a snow cone (hard ones, slushy ones, flaky ones…all the kinds of snow cones) that’s what snow is like. The worst part about it is if you roll around in it, it’ll get on your clothes and melt and then your clothes will be soaking wet and freezing. And snow is very very cold, I couldn’t touch it with my bare hands.

** Snow is soft and on occasions fluffy, when it hits the ground, or snow, it has a soft sound to it. Since snow is made of tiny ice crystal in many different shapes, is is cold, below 32 degrees F. If you get enough snow, you can actually make a snowman.
